...all my time from studying. Ughhhh...
Anyone else finding this game horribly addictive? I'm torn between studying Calculus and playing this :(((((( I just got my first companion, and it's compelling me to explore even more. What I thought was going to be a generic dungeon crawler turned out to be one of the most intriguing experiences ever. I haven't had this much fun in a first person RPG since Morrowind.
Also, Wahooka rocks. End of story.

Yes, I'm enjoying it also. Finally a game that just throws you in the deep end for once, while not being unscalably hard in the beginning. The easy controls are a big plus.
PS. If you're starting a new game, make sure you get the super-secret dagger on the first floor. Makes combat a breeze for the first levels.
I had a pleasure of playing this game while I was in high school back in 1997. I couldn't get myself away from it until I finished it. I think it took me almost 2 weeks to figure everything out and talk it over with 2 of my friends who also played - had no internet back then :)
As soon as I saw an Interplay promo yesterday I rushed to get me a copy of Stonekeep. It was the first game I played on my own pc I bought with my hard earned money :) Ohhh, so many nice memories. I've been playing it this whole morning!
Good luck exploring Stonekeep for the first time. I wish I could feel that way again!

All praise to Wahooka!
Yes - Stonekeep gave me such a good time like only 3 or 4 other games did (from '86 to '09). I loved it, but my copy had a bug in a fairly deep dungeon - I could not kill that endboss. That frustrated me.
I will re-enter Stonekeep once more after 12 years - maybe it wasn't a bug, but my lack of knowledge or something.
btw, I remember a scene at the entrance to a camp:
"WHAOTS THEE PASSWOURD!?!"
"I hate goblins too!"
"RIGHT, THAATS THEE PASSWOURD!"
"Damn - are they stupid, or what?!"
:D
(May differ from real text - pardon me, it's 12 years since I heard that lines ...)
I started playing this yesterday and i'm kicking myself for not gettin' it sooner.
I can't quite put my finger on the 'why', but i'm loving it. Just put a DAO playthrough on hold to play this for cryin' out loud ;)
Awesome!

Awesome!

I got this game when it came out back in the DOS days. Haven't been able to play it for years; no computer would run it, and I really thought I never would see it again. Huzzah for Good Old Games!! I got it last week, and it runs soo smooth! Enjoy, all of you who are discovering this great game! Wait till you meet the fairies. And remember . . . "I'd rather be a dwarf!" 8)

eh, eh, what a coincidence, i'm playing right now (i'm posting this on my lappy which sits right next to my gaming rig where i'm playing it)
Like so many others, a great game i would probably miss all togheter. Well, thanks to gog, not anymore.
I still haven't met the fairies, i just got to the Temple, but i'm looking forward to it.
"I'd rather be a dwarf!"
That has to be a reference to something in the game i haven't come across yet. ;)
Edit: eh,eh, i just went through Faerie Realm and i get the reference now.

Well, that's because Stonekeep is the greatest role playing game ever. Want proof? It says so inside the box! :-P
