I want to give Dombur the 3rd piece but somehow he doesn't take it.
The Give-Hand-Icon doesn't appear so it is impossible to give him anything.

I've applied the Patch and I'm using Version 1.2 right now. However if I display the version it say 1.2 for the game and 1.05 for the savegame.
Is there anyway to update the savegames too?
And how can i give that piece to dombur?

Are you using the GOG version? I'm asking because the GOG version should already have the 1.2 patch applied (read here), therefore you shouldn't have been able to apply it once more.
Speaking of the save game version: have you possibly saved the game before patching it? You are experiencing a common bug, but it shouldn't show up in version 1.2 of the game.
First of all, try speaking to him at least two or three times before attempting to give him the piece. Move the pointer around his hand until he extends his arm, then click to give him the final piece. You can even try by dragging the piece to him without waiting the hand over animation to occur.
If he still won't take the piece, exit the room, come back immediately and try again.

I've tried this a hundred of times. never worked, so i played on. I did finish the fairy map and the fairy joined.
later i went back to dombur and it worked out immediatly. strange.
