I've tried and tried and tried ... can't complete the spider puzzle (with the spider bot) without getting fried each time. Does someone have a saved game I can have. I've enjoyed it so far ... just can't get past this particular puzzle. Thanks.

I attached a save for you, but since the boards only allow to attach pics you'll have to go through a few steps to get the save

-Right click the attached pic
-Choose the option "save as" and save the file to your desktop.
-Once on your desktop rename the file from stilllife.jpg to stilllife.sav

That's it, after that it's only a matter of dropping it in the right place on the saves folder.

btw, the spider bit is not really that hard if you take the time to map out the 'safe' squares ;)

Thanks - appreciate it. I had worked out the safe spots ... but couldn't get through all of it w/o frying. Maybe it's a hand-eye coordination thing. I didn't give up easily ... I died a million times. I was able to complete the game. Now I'm trying to find Still Life 2. Don't see it here. Thanks again.

You're welcome.

I think you can find find Still Life 2 on GamersGate.
I ran into the same problem as cowtune; cannot get beyond this spider puzzle. I finally just gave up after what seemed like endless tries. Then, Namur, I saw your post. I followed the directions, but when I change the name of the file to stilllife.sav (the suffix, jpg, from the name of the original download doesn't show up on my desktop, so I can't delete it) and move it to the save folder, it's still a jpg file and is named stilllife.sav.jpg. Changing the name doesn't seem to change the type of file from *.jpg to *sav. Needless to say, it doesn't show up when I open the game to load it. I know this is crazy, but I'm somewhat of a novice with these things. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Go to 'Folder Options' and under the relevant tab make sure that the checkbox for

"Hide extensions for known types of files'

is not ticked.
