I downloaded both, but I can`t use them, or better said, I don`t know what to do with them. Both come as .pkg files. Do I have to extract them? With which tool? And where do I have to put the portrait pack?
It`s confusing. why can`t they give at least the novel as PDF?

Maxvorstadt: Both come as .pkg files.
It sounds like you downloaded some Mac OS installers for these, due to some bug on GOG side it’s tricky to find the novel in PDF format. For the novel as a PDF in a ZIP archive, try this download link (you need to be logged in to a GOG account to use it of course).

About the Arachnoid Portrait Pack, what is the OS you are trying to install it on?

I downloaded for Windows.
Hm, found out now, there is a second link for the novel, in the extras section. So the one in the DLC section seems to lead to the wrong file.
But still there seem to be no correct download link for the portrait pack.
