Hi,

First off, congrats to Mr. Don W. on this wonderful game, and a big kudos to GOG for having the game available to all us GOG lovers!

Just got through the Dauntless prologue of the game, bought it yesterday and have a doubt...

Iam not sure if Iam doing something wrong, or I have the combat concept wrong. I see that sometimes when you start the combat round, and you choose that your first charater (in the round) goes for a defend posture via the gear Icon, the turn then ends and goes (starts) for the opposing force, leaving you without any turns left for the rest of your team. Not sure why that happens.

I also, and my main doubt, don´t seem to know how to skip a combat turn (not round) of any of my team memebers. Do I have to meet the action points for that to be doable?

Thank you, and again great job with this littel gem!

All the best,

Mike

To the best of my knowledge ground combat is not You and then Them, the order of who goes is depending on who is the fastest, if you read the description about the stats you will see that many of them increase the characters initiative, this is what governs who does first and in what order all characters be it player or npcs do. This is what would give a character that is higher level an edge in combat since that character would have more stats from the extra levels and thus be faster.

I have seen instances where a character is fast enough to do twice sometimes while my char does once, f.e bosses.

You can delay your turn by pressing space bar and then 1 (will delay your action for a later time, only possible if character has full action points) or you can end a characters turn by pressing space and then pressing it again (not too fast though).

Ok, thanks for your detailed reply halldojo. Yes I did notice today while playing and leveling up one of my characters the Initiative stat you speak about.

As for dealying turns, that is clear too. I´ll try the space bar option you mention.. Again, thank you for taking the time to reply, very kind of you.
