So, this seems like a very odd issue, but this keeps constantly happening to me. When I start the game and encounter a cinematic, it's all working normally, but another any other cinematic after that just shows a blank screen. If I quit the game and try again, the cinematic works, but again, another cinematic after that shows only a black screen. If I hit esc I get back to game.

I also tested this in the cinematic menu. I can play any opened cinematic from there, but if I try to check another cinematic, it just shows black. Restarting the game fixes the issue.

Has this happened to anyone else?

I'm using Windows 10.

Late to the party, encountering the same issue with both the GOG and Steam versions of the game. So far, nothing I've tried seems to fix it, and I haven't found any other reports of this issue out there.
You might want to jump onto the Discord (https://discord.com/invite/eKNGNEzbK5), since myself and Nic certain try to troubleshoot these kind of issues and through Discord it's easy to share log files.

Off the top of my head a few things to check: Make sure the video drivers are up to date. Then another would be, if you have nvidia: Using the Nvidia Control Panel, turn offFast Vsync.
