When a target is selected there are 2 places where information is displayed about it:
1. HUD panel at the top/right corner of the screen
2. on the target iself if visible within the player view cone

#2 also includes target distance but #1 doesn't seem to as far as I can tell. This makes it very inconvenient to know how close or far I am from a target that is offscreen, I have to turn all the way to face them before having that information but I wish to know that much sooner many times, for example when I try to cycle through the enemy targets fast using "t" to get a certain type of target that is also within weapon range. Currently I have no good way to do this, I have to turn to face them to get the distance info.

I understand, it is a bit frustrating, we'll keep this in mind! But I also recommend using Turret View and pressing Space, it allows you to move your camera around just by moving the cursor, so it's a bit easier to view your surroundings.
