I found the ruin on the close planet. When I look at it from my crawler or whatever, it just states it's a ruin. If I scan it, it starts hailing me, but all I have for a selection is look or scan. It seems useless. I thought you got rewards for finding these. What am I supposed to do? there's nothing in the documentation.

Close planet? Do you mean the planet closest to you?

I do not know what you mean by hailing you. Do you mean the ruin has a message?

If that is the case, stop within one square of the ruin and go to CARGO. The message will show up. You can read the message, record the message, or both.

Some ruins have artifacts.
