When you launch the game from either the shortcut or GOG Galaxy you are brought to a screen where you choose which game you want to play. XvT or BoP. Niether work. I click it and it just shuts down. All I've seen are suggestions for other versions of Windows but not 10. Has anyone successfully gotten this game running on Windows 10?

I know this is a bit late but this should fix your issue.

Check to see if DirectPlay is turned on:

1. Right click Start
2. Click Programs and Features
3. Click Turn Windows features on or off
4. Make sure there is a check in Legacy Components
5. Click the + to expand
6. Check the box for DirectPlay(edited)
I´ve the very same problem, and I found the solution on Steam forums. Let me paste it here:

"for xwing95 and tie95 simply copy winmm.dll from c:\windows\syswow64\ to the remastered directory, (for 32-bit, copy the file from windows\system32\). for XvT copy winmm.dll to the XvT directory and delete win32.dll. now rename winmm.dll to win32.dll, then copy the new file to the BoP directory."

It worked for me.
Sadly, both solutions don't work for me. But... Acutally the Maingame runs, but BoP doesen't start... hmmm It says i shoukld check if I have the CD or the expansion is actually installed. Strange.

I CAN get Xwing to run, but it's a tiny square on my desktop monitor. Running Xwing 94 on Win 10. So far I cannot get the game to scale to my monitor.

I had the same problem on 32 bit windows 10, and this fixed it for me (I'd already got the directplay mentioned in other posts active - something noticed and put up a dialog so I cound turn it on), and the launcher box would come up, but the game wouldn't run. Trying differernt compatability modes didn't help, but then I found your post and that solved the problem for me - Thanks!
