those having crashes when getting into the ship... are you pressing the mouse button? If I do that when its giving me the option on launch ship, it crashes every time. If I don't touch the mouse (can move around just don't press the button) then its all good.

scythemouse: Unfortunately, all attempts at updating this game, down to a fresh download and install have STILL left me with version 2.0.2.
2.02 is the correct version, it is the latest version of XWA.
2.0.0.9 is the version of the installer, not the game.
The guy who created the XWAU mod has already stated he is working on a version that is 100% compatible with the GOG release. I suggest waiting till this version of the MOd comes out.
I'm getting a freeze with 2.0.0.9 in the hangar. After clicking the "To Hangar" button, the hangar will load and run for for a few seconds before freezing with a "busy" mouse cursor, and without clicking the mouse or any other controls. If I press any key or mouse button the standard "application has stopped responding" requester pops up. The previous release worked fine, and the skirmish mode still runs great, it's just the hangar apparently. This is on a laptop running Windows 8.1 64 bit and Intel HD4000 integrated graphics (Core i5 3230M CPU.)

*UPDATE* It works fine if I set XWINGALLIANCE.EXE to XP SP3 compatibility mode, so at least it's back up and running.

You are a godsend! I was having exact same issue and was making game unplayable but once I set Compatibility Mode as stated above all seems well now!

Thanks again!

will x-wing alliance ever be released on Mac from GOG?
