My laptop has an Nvidia quadro 570m graphics card. I updated to the most up-to-date drivers they had (don't know what versions off the top of my head...)

When attempting to play GOG Star Wars - TIE Fighter (1998), on Mac OS X 10.10.1 under wine 1.5.17 with a PS3 controller; wine recognises the joystick inputs (2.png attached); except then when clicking "Play TIE Fighter", error message displays in TIE Fighter, "Please check your joystick and make sure it's plugged in." and also in terminal, "fixme:dinput:get_osx_device_elements Unhandled type 257" (3.png attached).
How can I get this to work?
(Note: I have ControllerMate 4.9.1 if it helps)
Reference:
- Terminal dump ~ http: // pastebin.com / 1W4WVxpA
- Computer Specs:
OS Version: 10.10.1 (14B25)
MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012)
Processor: 2.7 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory: 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024 MB
- Can I provide any more information?

In case you or anyone else is still having issues with the 98 version, I found that installing the following fix worked for me:

Good luck!
