Running on Windows 11, the 1998 edition of the game freezes if I go into any of the 'pause' menus when in the flight sim, such as the goals screen.

Same here. Any solutions to this? Except for the .exe switch. I want the vanilla version to work well.

EDIT: I found the solution! At least for my case. Nvidia control panel was messing the game up. Disabling it fixed the issue.
EDIT2: Having a browser running in the background (especially with a video going) is also messing things up. Turn off the browser, should work fine.
