Im not one to complain about bad graphics or older mechanics but this one is getting to the point where its almost too old to go back to.

Why dont they make a new version with better graphics and modern AI and mechanics?
Im sure it would sell well since people love star wars and a lot of people are craving a good strategic / tactical game.

they remade it as star wars Empire at war... nobody liked it but there are some very good mods

Alas the game was very much ahead of its time. They attempted to tweak empire at war to what they believed the audience wanted...force commander + rebellion - oops. I had high hopes for a rebellion 2 or supremacy as it was called in Europe but it was not to be.

Funny, Empire At War was the best selling of all the strategic level Star Wars games..it is Rebellion that few people liked when released.
