Star Wars Rebellion seems to play in full screen in Windows 10, unlike in Windows 7 or 8. However, you may experience upside down icons. Another player offered a solution on the forum:

Pretty much, download this file, then rename it from (WIN)REBEXE.EXE to REBEXE.EXE. Then, put it in the directory where the game was installed.

For me, icons show up fine as long as I open the GOG shortcut (which just runs the game with the -w parameter). Running the rebexe.exe executable directly (without that parameter) results on icons rendered upside down.

Did you download the new exe?

No, I had not. I've tested it now and it works fine, both with and without -w. How was it changed?

First I bought the game off of GOG. Then I tried this suggestion to download above and it fixed the upside down/color problem but made it super small and opens in a window that I can't expand to make full screen. Is there a fix for this as it's too small to play a game comfortably

Did you rename the file?
I did download the new exe file and while it fixed the game, it also made it run in an unfullscreenable small window. :(

Like I asked the user before, did you rename the new file to REBEXE.EXE?
Awesome! Thank you!
Hi

I downloaded SW Rebellion today, have installed it but cant get it to run at all on win10pro 64bit - when I run it I just get a windows application error - "was unable to start correctly (0xc0000022)"

I have also tried replacing the EXE with no luck.

Any ideas?
So I have been happily playing SWRebellion with my Windows 10 computers for about a year now.... Unfortunately my Antivirus decided to DIE suddenly (corrupted, not caused by a virus.) and my laptop had a half destroyed copy of Windows 10. I did a Recovery leaving me with a bunch of orphan programs.... after re-installing Rebellion and applying @Thiev's awesome EXE fix for upside-down graphics I too am now getting the windows application error - "was unable to start correctly (0xc0000022)"

This PC is now running Windows 10 Pro 64bit Creative edition if it matters Any thoughts? The game was installed right from the GOG executable I downloaded last year.

Pappystein: I downloaded last year.
delete it | change the install address to some like c galaxy/newgames/ and try a fresh download | install

error 22 = access denied... its most common with installs to programs folder or pushy antivirus but you just built this system so its possible you are just missing the file.

p.s, you may not be using gog so see here for old games on wx

Try installing DirectPlay:
Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> Turn Windows Features on or off -> Checkmark the Legacy Components (DirectPlay).
