Lol the woman re-writing KOTOR doesn't even like the game... or the players.

As soon as I heard about this remake my first thought was "YES", quickly followed by "God I hope they don't fuck it up!". But of course that's pretty much guaranteed.

Why the hell would anyone hire someone to re-do something when they didn't even like the original? That's completely retarded!

Got my copy pre-ordered. I'm really hoping we get the second game too.

My expectation (and I didn't follow the link) is that Disney want to retcon the legacy games, to give them Disney production values. This will necessarily be risky, since the two KotOR games were popular, but it will create a new canon stream (interesting callida juntura) for Disney to milk, and almost inevitably result in more than two games. (Disney loves to make sequels.)

So, even if the first retcon is terrible, there will be a mod to restore the original content on the new engine and a series of new material —— taken from the movies made after the games were released.

she hates the patriarchy maybe she should make her own damned game. leave KoToR the way it is. The game(originally) was layered subtile and had atmosphere. She will make it a loud pollitical statement. Anyway you can choose your gender!
Maybe it can then be re-remade to fight MATriarchy just to balance the scales.-or just make your own damned game and leave the classics alone!
