Great to see you here, I love you guys (or your work, at least :P )
Hi there, congrats for a great work! Thanks for stopping by!
I have 1.8 waiting to be installed, I guess I should wait some more.
I only played the game for an hour or so a few years ago, I can wait some more :D

good job, guys!! I will never know, what was missing from the vanilla version, thanks to you guys :D
I ran a data comparison utility on the GOG version and the Steam version, they are identical except for the main swkotor2.exe file. Here are the differences between them:

Steam:
Data: 14,452,112 bytes
Flags: Uniprocessor only, Line numbers stripped, Local symbols stripped, Relocation info stripped, Handles 32 bit words, Executable
Fixed Version Info/File Version: 2.2.0.0
Fixed Version Info/Product Version: 2.2.0.0
Variable Version Info/File Version: 2.2.0.0
Variable Version Info/Product Version: 2.2.0.0

GOG:
Data: 4,578,816 bytes
Flags: Line numbers stripped, Local symbols stripped, Relocation info stripped, Handles 32 bit words, Executable
Fixed Version Info/File Version: 2.1.0.0
Fixed Version Info/Product Version: 2.1.0.0
Variable Version Info/File Version: 2.1.0.0
Variable Version Info/Product Version: 2.1.0.0

There are a few other minor changes, such as a missing docs folder and the addition of a graphics setting configuration utility, but no other changed game files.

Hassat_Hunter: So, just got the mail TSL is on GOG... congrats everyone.

Considering there have probably be changes compared to the DVD/Steam version, anyone possessing it can tell us what those are?
As is TSLRCM should most likely be compatible, but I would like it confirmed by users.

NOTE that I however do NOT suggest massively getting TSLRCM now, an update is in the works which will be released SHORTLY fixing the following items. Especially the vanilla-issue of swoop racing fixed should releave many players I assume.:

* Additional restored lines for Kreia-Atris cutscene.
* Modified Mebla slightly; you can play again after 'asking questions' but you can no longer ask questions after getting her tie breaker.
* Telos Swoopracing;
Traininglap persuasioncheck no longer automatically succeeds.
Fixed trainingrun-dialogue not being properly triggered.
Fixed several issues with 'improved' or 'deproved' time recognition.
* Fixed Lupo not giving credits properly after teammates comment on your Force Persuasion use (my bad).
* HK-50's will no longer appear and then fade away if HK-47 is in your party when going to Goto's Yacht (Thanks Markus Ramikin)
* Losing to Bralor, then winning he would still incorrectly comment you can fight again (Thanks Markus Ramikin)
* Persuading Qimtiq once does no longer guarantee 500 bonus credits per win permanently, you need to re-convince him before each race.
* Missing VO addded to installer.
* Fixed the "forfeit" Swooprace-bug.
* Added proper camerapoints to modified tutorial dialogues.
* Improved Azkul-Merc conversation after invading Khoonda (Merc side) (by danil-ch)
* You will now start with Force Breath active upon learning it in the JJT/fixed flourish animation (by danil-ch)
* Savegames made during the Atton vs. Sion confrontation on Malachor will no longer crash on loading.
* Added missing lightsaber equipped fix (by danil-ch) that made the game also check the off-hand for a lightsaber and detect it.
* Modified Mira technique teaching slightly.

Looking forward to hearing from all of you!
-Hassat Hunter and the rest of the TSLRCM team.
cool! Can we then just install the mod over a vanilla install (Retail version) or do we need to apply patches too? Also what other mods could you recommend that work well with your mod? Keep up the good work!
The new version will be, like before, a full install, no patches required.
I would suggest M4-78EP ;)

Many other mods that work fine though, check deadlystream for compatible mods, or the TSLRCM-compatbile mod list also found there (in the TSLRCM forum section)...

Hi Hassat,
The version we have released works with the TSLRCM 1.8.3. Since we have some avid fans of the game here, it was one of the things we have checked when we prepared this game for release.

We did not make a playthrough with the mod on since we don't officially support mods, but it should be working as well as it would with a DVD/Steam versions.

You absolutely should, it enhances the experience of the game. I mean, unless you don't like playing games :P

Is that means GOG have older version of the game ? :S

I seem to remember for the Steam version you had to switch to a cracked CD version of the executable in order to run the widescreen patcher. The Steam executable was patched, and the widescreen utility required the unpatched one. Perhaps GOG switched back to the unpatched to help with widescreen support?

Although, to be honest, I have a hard time believing that. I've seen them state that their version contains all the official patches. Plus I think the swoop track racing was broke without the patch (which was always the tradeoff if you wanted to do widescreen).

Tolya Means Testing the Mod for Support reasons as GOG Support Team, getting the mod ready for this release.
Whether or not he uses Mods is irrelevant to GOG support and not something to post about when representing GOG.

Everyone who plays this should absolutely use this Mod, as you said.

Supporting the Mod is the TSLRCM Teams responsibility and the imminent update will definately work for this release, TSLRCM have said so on Mod DB site if not here. It may delay the release for a few days, as surprisingly, though we all knew it was coming when KotOR was released on 28th ‎October ‎2014 by GOG, no one thought to let them know about it.

No harm done and I've found GOG releases are ideal for modding the games, I expect this Mod will work fine without altering anything. Good Mod Makers make sure and TSLRCM will do just that.
