I recently purchased KotoR and KotoR 2, actually its been six days now. I manually downloaded and installed KotoR with no issues.

KotoR 2 on the other hand has been nothing but problems when I try to install. I keep getting a message that says the files are corrupted and to try downloading them again. I have manually downloaded them several times, 6 plus times, and keep getting the same message. To be sure its not trying to install what might be bad files I always delete the the ones I have in my downloads folder before starting a new download.

On a whim I decided to give GOG Galaxy a try and see if it does any better. It doesn't say the files are corrupted, it never gets that far. I click on the install button in GOG Galaxy and it says installing and just hangs there. I let it go over night and it was still stuck there the next morning. Frankly GOG Galaxy is a bandwidth hog and I don't have much bandwidth to start with being stuck on a slow DSL connection. Even when its not downloading anything it drags down the internet making it super slow to even use the browser. So I end up shutting GOG Galaxy down and only let it do its thing over night.

Any one have any ideas on how to fix the issues with GOG Galaxy or some trick to get the files I have to work?

Oh, btw, I have a support ticket in. Its been in for 5 days now with no reply yet. I guess they are flooded with issues from Witcher 3.

Yeah, support is busy. They shouldn't ignore everything else though...

I've downloaded KotOR II just yesterday, without any problems.
Make sure to download both files, the .exe and the .bin. You could try downloading them with a different browser, too.

Could you check the files' MD5 values here?
These are the values for the english version:
.exe: 0163b31f8763b77f567f5646d2586b61
.bin: bbedad0d349a653a1502f2b9f4c207fc

If install is hanging, then try disabling your AV before you start it.

I can't get the MD5 tool to work. I will keep working on it. I suspect I don't have it installed in the right folder.

I have two files for Kotor 2.

setup_sw_kotor2_2.0.0.3 (the .exe file)
setup_sw_kotor2_2.0.0.3-1.bin

I have tried downloading with Firefox, GOG Galaxy, and the GOG downloader. The files downloaded with Firefox and the GOG downloader both return the "files are damaged" error. GOG Galaxy just keeps hanging saying its installing, even with my AV turned off.

One more try using IE is planned for tonight while I sleep. Its a 3 hour download.

Thank you for the suggestions. Even though I am still having issues I am glad some one is trying to help.
Well the try with IE ended up with the same issue. It says the setup_sw_kotor2_2.0.0.3-1.bin file is corrupted just like Firefox, the GOG downloader and GOG Galaxy. I tried downloading with the AV off and it didn't make any difference. It takes 3 to 6 hours to down load this file and I am about tired of trying. I don't know what else to try.

I have yet to hear back from GOG support as well. I guess the next step is to ask for my money back and go buy the game off of Steam.

Checking your RAM and hard drive for errors.

The MD5 test Urnoev suggested would tell us if the installers are really corrupted or if there is some kind of bug happening in the installation process.
I can help you to extract the game data without going through the installation process, but for this I’ll first need to be sure the MD5 sum of your downloaded files are the ones posted by Urnoev.
