I'm expecting this Update for the GOG version too. Everything else would be a huge disappointment.

Aspyr has already stated that they are working with GOG to bring both the update and Mac/Linux versions to GOG. It is not yet certain it will happen, but they are working on it.

GOG have to be the easier people to work with. If they can come to an agreement with steam, then GoG shouldnt be a problem in the slightest.
