So I've gotten most of the way through the game and am about to head to Dantooine to meet the masters. I use the star map to travel there, go talk to the old witch Kreia and then leave to exit the ship and... nothing happens. It goes where a load screen is SUPPOSED o be and I get nothing. If I Alt-Tab out OR Ctrl-Alt-Del and close the program, it immediately pulls the game back up and gives me the dialog box warning me that I'm going to exit the game and lose all unsaved information, so the game is still responding, it's just... not even hitting that load screen. Anyone got any ideas what might be happening? I've tried loading back several save games and it's the same thing when I get to that point. Any ideas anyone?
What is your game's version?
Are you playing with TSLRCM? If not, you should. And you could try to install the modification and start it with your existing save, perhaps that will repair whatever causes this bug. But make sure to backup your installation folder and the saves especially, since this could easily break your game completely.
Another well-known issue, sadly without any disconcernable reason why it's happening.

If you can upload your savegame I could basically reset the plains, which *will* make it load. I could also just tell the steps you need to do to do that yourself, but option #1 is probably a lot easier.

Hassat, if you could tell me how to do that I would be eternally grateful. My only issue with uploading the savegame instead is that I (and anyone else with this issue) then don't know how to fix it when it happens again. If you post it here, we got it for posterity, so to speak.
1) Use ERFEdit to extract 601DAN.git from the 601DAN.mod file (located in the modules folder)
2) Place it in the override folder
3) Load game, load save, load Dantooine, save game
4) Exit game and remove 601DAN.git from the override

You probably notice some oddities since it's reset (like being greeted again), and of course the enemies return, but it should allow you to go to the academy properly.

Alternatively, just (while in the EH) cheat yourself using

warp 605dan

to the map with the Enclave

I don't have a 601dan.git or a 601dan.mod file. I'm not using the restored content mod. I'm just playing the GOG downloaded version of the game. I'll attempt the cheat command instead, but thank you sir!
Ah, people without TSLRCM (why are you anyway?)...

You can find the .git inside the 601DAN.rim.
But I do suggest using our mod ;)

Hello there!

I just faced the same issue and this 4 step strategy didn't work in my case. I extracted the .git file from the .rim file, and did as you suggested. If only I didn't do something wrong at 3 ). I loaded the game to 2 different save games, one of them was from Dxun but on the Ebon Hawk, the other one was when already landed on Dantooine but still on the Ebon Hawk.
I would try out the cheat strategy using "warp 605dan" but I can't use cheats ingame although I created the script within the swkotor2.ini file.

Has it something to do with my PC or screen resolution?
What about the earlier saves? People keep telling me about that but there are no guarantees. Plus, I didn't have to load the game ever since the Onderon battle started and I didn't die.
(I have a strange issue with save slots however, I can't have more than 10 save slots at once, so it might make things more complicated, perhaps there is a correlation between these problems?)

I don't use mods - as far as I'm concerned. I mean I installed the default Steam version of the game. However I read somewhere that Handmaiden's underwear is a mod but I did not manually install anything other than the base game. I'm super confused and clueless.
I have 52 hours of play time in the game and it's kind of frustrating since I waited years to be able to play it. I played the first KotOR game 10 years ago and I commited the mistake of not playing K2 right away afterwards, then I could never make it run on Windows 7, but now on Windows 10 it worked so far. And now this happens.

Please, could you or anyone else help me with this? I'd be eternally grateful.

At the same time I'm seeking help on KotOR Discord channel too but they couldn't say much except a modder guy who could help but he did not reply yet.
