Moving the atioglxx.dll and atigktxx.dll files to a backup folder, then disabling Frame Buffer and Soft Shadows in the game's graphics settings worked for me! I was almost regretting upgrading to Win10!

EDIT:
This fix also works for KotOR 2 on windows 10.

Huh. That seemed to work on my end.

Replacing the files with newer ones broke the game, but them being removed altogether does not.
Three pages and we have a winner, that really seems to work :D
Renaming/deleting the ati dlls is an old solution that appears in 10 or more subjects in the kotor topic. It solves problems for more than just Win10 systems. Dunno why switching to 10 would cause an ati dll problem to begin - that's an interesting question.

That is kind of strange, especially since it was working just fine on latest drivers in both Win7 and Win8, and that one of the solutions is replacing those files with newer ones. I saw the removal trick, but that seemed to mostly fix it for NVIDIA cards. I'm not sure why it'd be needed just now for AMD unless AMDs Win10 drivers change something.

In the undercity on Taris people are missing their limbs when grass is activated in the options. The state of this game is just not very nice :(

Apparently that's another old issue.

Try the solution in this thread. I'm not at my main PC right now, so I can't check myself.

It's weird that these older problems which weren't issues beforehand are now popping up in Windows 10. It could just be driver changes on AMDs end.

The grass generally is a problem. Most people turn it off.
Makes the game look even more sterile.

You need to come to terms with the fact that the game was made 12-13 years ago.
But not being able to play an old game with maximum settings doesn't exactly help ;)

Lurtz: The Steam version works with AMD, I have an HD 7950 and Catalyst 15.7, you have to disable soft shadows and frame buffer objects in the advanced graphics options or it crashes.
This just worked for the GOG version as well. Thanks man.

Disabling the soft shadows and frame buffer objects appears to work for me. Thanks!
If anyone's still struggling (none of the solutions posted here help) try disabling videos in swconfig.exe in the game's main folder.
