Disregarding the fact Disney disbanded the entire expanded universe upon attaining the franchise (thus making any 'Canon' KotOR effectively non-existent) how many people have ever played a 'Canon' playthrough for the sake of seeing it in action?

KotOR 1
Revan - No official name given, Male, class unspecified (Consular?), Light side ending, Romanced Bastila

KotOR 2
Exile - named Meetra Surik, Female, class unspecified (Sentinel?), Light side ending, Romance unspecified

This is just based on what I have found on starwars.wikia, wookiepedia etc. I tried it on my disk version of the game and it was actually rather fun, although it certainly made using HK-47 a little annoying given his hatred of "sentimental meat-bags" Expected him to aim his rifle at the back of my head half the time :P

Male Exile has better Romance Stories than Female Exile.

I mean at least 4 female characters outrights proclaims they love Male Exile.

I'm still of the opinion "screw canon, THIS. IS. RPG" and make whatever choices or path or character I choose.

I know, that's almost unheard of in a RPG nowadays.

This is why I hate the term 'canon', in this context, and it's conotations. When ownership rights can change, and so-called 'canon' alongside, then what is it? It's meaningless, that's what.

Well... I agree that in games I play I am the one who 'sets' canon... but I don't mind frolicking with someone else ideas. :D
So, back to original question - I played as 'canon' Revan mostly because I was Light Sided, the romance is one. Also it had sense that you are the 'good guy'. HK might dissagree but he follows you nontheless.
In KotOR 2 I didn't play female, because of roleplaying sake. I usually play males in RPGs. And also because this is based on 'aligmen points' I sometimes feel you can't be flexible about your character.

I liked playing as the male exile, as it added a little humanity/character to Atris becuase she loved the exile. Gave her little more depth beyond pissy Jedi.

Nah. To be honest, the canon versions just annoy me. The worst thing about it is that 'canon' Exile is not even possible. Female Exile with handmaiden companion? Yeah, no, not unless you mod your game.
