I already have my physical copy of sw: kotor but it's not compatible with systems above win xp. That is why I've bought the gog version as it states to be win7/8/10 compatible, which is a complete bullshit as at turns out after trying to play it, it still crashes the same way as the physical version used to. It is NOT win7/8/10 compatible at all. So fuck this game and fuck GOG for lying.

No problems here (Win7 64bit), runs just fine.
Maybe try contacting support and see if they can help you with troubleshooting?

What is your operating system? Where have you installed the game? Did you use the downloader link or galaxy? I would suggesting not installing the game in program files as that can cause issues.

I just reinstalled the game via the downloader link into my games folder and on windows 7 64 bit professional, it is working well with no issues.

It works fine on both Windows 7 and Windows 10.

Calm the hell down and turn off Screen Buffer Effects and Soft Shadows in the options menu. They cause most of the crashing.

The patch released today might have fixed that. It did for me runs perfect.

For me it's running, but is buggy as hell. Graphics glitches, total crashes if I increase the graphics options, and now a dead-end. Just got past the Rancor and after teh first battle only one character is controllable. I've tried re-loading, going different paths and so on but nothing helps. As soon as I go into combat on the Vulkar base Carth & my character will not move under my command. They can be selected,look around, access the menus but they won't move.

Barely into the game at this point and I'm thoroughly disappointed by this.

It is compatible. I have recently played through it and didn't have an issue. Now that you have vented maybe have a look at your set up because I suspect this issue is that and not the GOG release of the game.

For the hell of it I quickly reinstalled it on my system which has Win10 1903 and it works fine.
