So this happened to me in KOTOR 1 and the same is happening in KOTOR 2 - more often than not, immedidately after combat is finished my character is rooted to the spot. If there is something else to interact with in sight I can click on it and the character will move over to it but the directional controls (WASD) do not respond. To resolve it I have to save the game and then reload. Is this a common problem and is there a fix for it?

Try turning on or off Vsync.

If that doesn't work, try pressing both the left mouse button and the right mouse button while quicksaving.

Enabling Vsync appears to have corrected the issue, thanks much.
