It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I've tried downloading this damn thing about four times now and it cuts off around the 2.5gb mark each time. Each failed download amounts to about 4-5 hours of wasted time. Would it be possible to break that large file into two smaller ones? I mean, most of the time the bin files are about 1.5gb in size, why the larger size for this one?

The same question could be applied to Battlefront 2. It would be much easier if those files could be broken down into four separate files rather than a massive 4gb file and a 2.5ish gb one.

I guess you aren't using the GOG downloader?
Your best bet is to use GOG downloader as alcaray said, or you can try a download manager like the popular or [url=http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/]FDM (great open source download manager). Hope that helps! Cheers!

Both alcaray and Vythonaut already suggested an easy workaround, the GOG Downloader. It fetches the files in chunks, checks file integrity and lets you resume a download at any time.

Nevertheless, I second your complaint about big file sizes. It's rather new that GOG crosses the 2GB line for installer files and I think they shouldn't do that, mostly because of backwards compatibility to older systems. The place is called Good Old Games for a reason. Send a support ticket to let them know you aren't confident with these large files, so they become aware of the issue.

I've not had good luck with the downloader in the past. Moving to the individual files seemed to work better. And now it's flipped around...

Have you tried it? Any specific issues now? Maybe someone has got an idea.
