If you're into multiplayer and need some extra goodies, download JA+, it enhances a little more the online experience and some of the single player. There's hundreds of mods, and i don't remember exactly which are best. And also, most of the cool audio/visual changing mods are kinda hard to find, except JA+, which still very popular this days.

I'm mainly looking for single player mods, something that add or improve the original if possible.

It's a Q3-engine game. There's mods for everything! Extra hilts? Yep. Better sounds? Sure. Models/skins/textures/vehicles? Levels? Yes x12! I've tried, but it's really hard to distil the copious quantities of mods into a must-have selection - Take a gander through jkhub.org and try out anything you like! If that's not enough, there's fileplanet sites for both Outcast and Academy. They're a bit tedious to use, but still have some older things that haven't been re-uploaded to JKHub.

And remember: if a mod isn't working, you can probably fix it yourself! pk3 are just zip files, and 90% of their contents is easy-to-parse plain-text scripts. Go wild!

Yes, the JA+ is a really good little enhance to the core game. However it is more like a developer mod rather than a gameplay mod. As itself the JA+ only enable the kung-fu moves, the pulling stab, and enables the size differences between the skins (it must be set in the config first). It keeps the game's balance, as the larger characters are slower with more healt and strenght, while the smaller are faster and better defenders with low healt.

I have 10 different mods for jedi academy that adds blood and dismemberment to the game.
the blood always looks different for that i have 10 different versions of it.

I'm interested. Will be buying this shortly and I always keep mods handy before getting the game. That said, would someone know of any good AI/Bot mods cause I would be spending most of my time playing with bots before indulging in multiplayer.

Also does anyone know which lightsaber mod is used to get this effect in the video below cause the lightsaber glow and tracer effects look superb. Even though the video has mentioned the 'EOC 2013' mod and even provided links for it..I'm specifically looking for the mod that enables those awesome lightsaber effects .

those mods are each very similar. the blood textures are different. just try it out.
the installer is in german, sorry, but it is easy to use.

Also, do the english versions of these mods exist if I search for it..currently I'm coming up with none except for the bloody dismemberment mod. The other thing is, are these compatible with the english version of the game since this would be my first time using a non-english mod.

the mods are compatible since they dont change anything within the language settings.
only the install-routine is written with a german languaged program.

maybe the other mods do exist anywhere but i dont know for sure.

if you dont know what to do, just extract the installer and copy the pk3 files to your game.

Do you by chance of know of any good mod managers for jedi academy cause so far the ones I'm getting are really old and have never been updated. Also any good AI/bot mods you could recommend ?

you just have to put the pk3 files into the base folder and it works.

I never searched for any mod managers. if i wanted to get several mods to work, I edited them by myself and put them together as one pk3 file.

the AI I would recommend to look for it at filefront or try google. I havent looked for such mods either.

I just find an unknown, but really awesome mod, called ForceMod III

It is completely change the multiplayer part of the game. True class based system with different options per characters. The drodeka can roll, shoot and have a regenerating shield. There are Jedi and Sith, and grand masters without saber, but stronger Force. Just fun, try out. :)
