It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Maybe there are others with this problem. So here is my solution (Windows7_64, onboard audio):

- rename or delete OpenAL32.dll in the game folder
- install newest openal version
- rename wrap_oal.dll to wrap_oal.dll_backup in Windows/SysWow64/
- enable EAX ingame

ps: btw, this also works with UT2004

I tried this fix and it didn't work for me. I'm using an X-Fi Titanium, so this might be the issue. I'd love to make this work though.
I can think of two possible solutions:

- Creative usually installs a specific version of openal. You could try to copy ct_oal.dll from Windows\SysWow64\ to the game directory and rename it to OpenAL32.dll
- you could try openal_soft (I use this for almost all problems related to openal). Just copy soft_oal.dll from the bin32 folder to the gamefolder and rename it to OpenAL32.dll

Sadly neither of these fixes work. The surround sound seems to work propertly in the opening cut scene, but once I start the level the sounds start to gradually dissapear (e.g., I can hear my first blaster shot, but not the follow ups). This is the same problem I had before I tried the above fixes. I'm guessing this game doesn't like my 64 bit OS, the sound driver doesn't like my 64 bit OS, or something similiar. I may remove my X-fi card and see if I can get proper surround from the motherboard audio.

Current config:
Windows 7 64-Bit
Creative Soundblaster X-Fi Titanium
Intel integrated graphics from a Core i5 processor
You could also try to fiddle with the "seta s_ ... " values in your jk2config.cfg (e.g. for poolsize and sampling frequency).

Playing with these settings didn't have any effect. I've removed my X-Fi card and started running on the onbaord audio. I'm not noticing any trouble with this config per se, but now I don't seem to be getting any sound from my rear speakers. Can't win for losing! It may be time to ressurect an old Windows XP machine.

Try using Creative ALchemy from here:

Add jedi outcast 2 with use game path and browse to X:\Star Wars Jedi Knight II - Jedi Outcast\GameData

Need to point to the folder with exe

I've got a blaster Z and the EAX effects are working with ALchemy but with errors. Too many sounds going at once but that was happening without EAX effects enabled. Seems to be just GOG version the cd version patched doesn't have this problem.
