Hello,

I know this game is just released on GOG but I have to wonder how many of us have this same issue. There seems to be no fix. I have tried all steps listed to no avail. I have tried a surface pro 4 as well as my AMD FX 8350 r9 290 16GB ram gaming build. I dont understand it. I really wish GOG would do beta test of this type of release to make sure it actually works.

This is to the point to where I think there is no rhyme or reason to this issue but for poor planning on GOG's part.

I've had some success by launching the game's executable manually (not through galaxy). The intro videos had warped colors (I was at a high resolution) but it seemed to be working. I got as far as choosing my racer before it crashed.
I cant even get that far. Crashes on first loading screen.
Yup, having this same problem. Every suggested fix in the forums and support section for this have not worked for me at all. Really frustrating and sad.

What "steps" did you try ?
Did you real the troubleshooting thread ?
Did you use the video config tool ?
I got the game working by going into the install folder and running SWEP1RCR.exe until the game ran properly. I had to do a lot of hard restarts for it to work though.

All the steps listed in the stickey. Go read em. I evewn went and tried the voodoo and 3dglide fixes and then some older fixes with a modded launcher. Tried a lot. On 2 different systems. One intel one amd.

This game is broken for many. The steps listed are not working for many either.
im having the same error on start up
maybe we can all post are pc specs to show it is random as heck regarding who gets the issue and the machine.
i put swep1rcr.exe into compatibility mode for xp service pack 2 and it's working perfectly fine. didn't touch anything else. windows 10, 64-bit, nvidia geforce gtx 1080, i7-6700k, 16gb ddr4 ram.

edit: it seems to be broken if you launch through gog galaxy, try just starting it through the exe in the folder instead.

Getting the blue bar freeze/crash as well. Randomly worked like twice out of the times of different methods of fixing it but never worked again each time.
Here's what worked for me on Windows 10 Home running on a i7-4700mq with a 765M

1. in GoG Galaxy, on the game page, select MORE->Manage installation->Verify/Repair
2. Let that do it's thing.
3. Navigate to the install folder of the game (MORE->Manage installation->show folder)
4. Right click on SWEP1RCR and select properties
5. On the compatibility tab, Check "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and select Windows XP (Service Pack 2)"
6. Check Run in 640 x 480 screen resolution
7. Click Apply.

Try that and see if it works.

I got the same problem, nothing solved it
I put the command -v: don't work
Putting the game in 640x480: don't work
Compatibility XP Service pack 2: nah!

I'm on a laptop so I don't have 2 screen, I have a Win10 x64 GeForce 1060 6Go i7700HQ 16Go RAM
