Hi GOG community of players! I'm really interested in buying this game, but I would like to know if it is possible to play in LAN with the current TCP / IP protocol, otherwise I do not know if it is worth buying it..

I remember this game could be played with the IPX protocol like Diablo 1, Command and Conquer Red Alert 2, StarCraft, Ignition, etc.

I need to know this information before buying. Thanks!

The GOG.com version ships with the open-source ipxwrapper

So your DirectPlay traffic will be tunneled through UDP/IP.

The multiplayer is not the most stable in this game though. Making your decision depend on that is probably not the best idea. The game is less than $10 anyway. So.. just go for it regardless?

In my personal situation, I'm just going to play it in LAN mode with friends, so I do not like the idea of having to patch a game that is not ready to play.
To play alone I prefer other types of games (point & click adventure games, the witcher..).
At the moment, I am satisfied with my Flatout2.. and I will wait for Blur (2010).

Well, thanks for your info anyway!
