I know that the key mapping for repair is R key, however it does not seem to be working at all.
Is there any condition or way to repair while racing? Or am I missing something?
Please help.

Repair has always worked just fine for me. You cannot repair an engine after it has exploded but you can if they are just damaged from hitting the walls or caught fire due to overheating.
