So I've split the galaxy in two, I, the Mighty Galactic Empire on one side, and the Rebel Scum on the other. I have a nice "space-trench" of starships in the border planets and I don't want the stalemate to be broken. I can hold them pretty easily on space, but when I make ground invasions, the AI has that overpowered artillery unit, the MPTL-2a, and I just can't deal with it. I enjoy long confrontations , where I fight inch by inch for the ground with troopers, tanks and turrets, kinda like Men of War Assault Squad; and this unit just screws everything up with it's impossibly long ass-range. My request is simple: I want that unit to be gone, so the AI can't produce it. No, I don't want to lower the tech tree of the game, because I enjoy big starship battles. No, I don't want any of your suggestions either. Believe me, I've tried everything to counter it. I just can't micro like a computer does (which is cheating, I should say), and there are chokepoints in many maps, where I can't reach their artillery. So, is there a way to erase that unit from the AI's production list? I don't mind if I can't have it either, I never play as the Rebels.
But you have artillery too. Mmm... I 100% remember one thing: keep some bombers on orbit - and they can be used also on planet battle. Maybe some other orbital strikes?
