Hey guys. Just installed this and swimming in an ocean of mods.
Which one is the best as of 2016 according to you?

Thanks!
Thrawn's Revenge: Imperial Civil War is an amazing expansion with 5 factions, countless galactic conquest scenarios based on the EU (with a technology system based around the death of important imperial leaders, like Yssard, Thrawn or the cloned Palpatine)

Then, if you somehow like the world of prequel trilogy, there is a total conversion Republic at War, with amazing details put into each of the factions. It is basically the ultimate way of experiencing Clone Wars

Thank you kindly.

Anything to improve the Galactic Civil war pre-Endor? :)
I can agree with MjrNikolaj on Thrawns Revenge and RaW. There is a ton of good mods, but one really cool mod that came out recently is Empire at War Remake. Its basically a fan made remastered with a few gameplay additions. The Clone Wars mod is also nice if you like the TCW series.

Well there is Awakening of the Rebellion. It is a very great mod with tons of changes and imho it is the best atmospheric wise. There are lots of story elements that actually might lead to a Battle of Endor, when the Empire manages to build the 2nd death star. Sadly, it is a bit boring to play as the Empire, as the AI is unable to make meaningful use of the Rebel forces (i.e., it cannot use fighters and infiltrators efficiently).

Did you at any point install RAW?

IIRC i is this mod which changes the default AI-behaviour for raids and similar. For any reason and that is true for all mods (till now) that the mods/AI folder is for any reason not really working.

Sorry link not with me in the moment, but I did see a post in a forum that one modder team has found something. To really get the AI modded working you have to put AI folder in the root folder.

As usual the dislaimer right away ;)

DO not forget to make a backup :D

That is not what I meant.

Read the rest of my post as well, will ya?

Good news! Awakening of the Rebellion is still in development: http://www.moddb.com/mods/awakening-of-the-rebellion-2

I was afraid the mod was dead after steiner-modding went offline. They even try to improve the AI although - looking at the core game - I fear there is not much to work with.
