Hi guys

This is probably a small issue for everyone else, but this does not work for Windows 10 Preview. nsg15, you mentioned that it worked in 10 preview. How did you get it to work?
Yeah I'm having a Problem the HUD is Missing and the game wont go into the map Via the hotkeys any suggestion
One thing I've noticed is upon applying the patch there's a hideous amount of texture pop-in in the hardware renderer.

It's not as pronounced in the software renderer but it's extremely noticeable in the hardware one.

Was this in vanilla? I can't remember.

I just checked, it's exactly the same in the vanilla version.
Are these GOG Dark Force 1 & 2 worth purchasing? Since i already have all the Jedi Knight (including Dark Force) games on Steam? Is there a huge difference between the GOG and Steam versions? All i know that i can't even launch Dark Forces II : Jedi Knight on Windows 7 X64.

Well, you can launch the versions from GOG ... :)

I am a big fan of these older Dark Forces/Jedi Knight titles and I can recommend them, that you try them out. These are classic games with switches, elevators, secrets, key-findings etc.

So ... if you like these types of gameplay, than I wholeheartedly recommend them.

Some gameplay here:

To anyone having issues running this on Windows 10, I have found a solution:

After you install the patch listed in the op's post, delete or rename winmm.dll in Jedi Knight's main directory. This file is used as the CD audio wrapper with this game. Renaming or removing this file will obviously disable the CD audio music in this game, but at least it works now.

This also applies to the other Star Wars games that have cd audio (although the DLLs are named differently). So it looks like the CD audio wrapper is causing issues in Windows 10. I am sure GOG will fix it in time.
Well i decided to purchase this game and at least know i can see the main menus, but when i try to start a new game and that's when the game crashes. It seems that the game doesn't like dual-monitor setup :(

Well I'm sticking with the software renderer then. I really don't like the pop-in at all.
This patch also seems to make the game compatible with GeForce Shadow Play, guessing its because its a DX10 wrapper.

The software renderer has the same LOD pop-in.

Off course it won't support dual monitor setup, it's an old game, play it with 1 screen.

Disable you second screen, mate ... of course it won't work. There aren't many games, that like (active) dual screen setup, especially older titles if you play them fullscreen.

Maybe in window it would work. But you have to try it out.
I don't get it. Jedi Knight always crashes wenn I start a new game/load game with dgVoodoo at 0x08F2B7EC in D3DImm.dll.

Did I something wrong? I copied D3DImm.dll, DDraw.dll and dgVoodooSetup.exe into the game folder. I set hardware acceleration on and resolution to 1920x1080 (also 1024x786).

My system:
Microsoft Windows 8.1 Pro (6.3.9600 Build 9600)
AMD FX-6300
AMD Radeon HD 7750 (14.12 AMD Catalyst)
