I'm experiencing an odd problem. I'm getting music but no special effects, voices, foot steps, etc. Sfx set to full, and tried the 8/16/24 digital sounds settings. No issues with other games or the system for that matter. Is there some feature that needs to be enabled?

Win7 Home Premium, on-board Realtek High-Def audio, 2.1 speaker set.. hmmm...

Have you tried turning off the music just to see if you can hear any other sounds at all?
Sure did. Music off with Windows vol max and physical speakers max. Menus and UI all have the normal clicks and sound effects - it's only in-game that's a problem. A3D on/off no effect. I have A3D-Live [Aureal audio emulator] installed - I could try uninstalling it. But that'd be a shame since it works great with games like Outlaws...

Back in the day this sort of thing often had to do with the directX Audio Acceleration setting - backing it down a notch or two usually did the trick. But with Dx10+ that not an option any more.

EDIT: A3D-Live, that was the issue. Uninstalled it and sounds are back. Now I have to find a way to configure A3D for the other games without interfering with Jedi...
