Hello all. I recently put Dark Forces Plus+ on my PC. Scanned the files with 2 antivirus programs first. and found no suspicious files. So far the program is working great, but I'm struggling a little with accuracy in game as I'm getting used to playing it with mouse look. So my question is this: In Windows 10, how do I turn the aiming cross-hairs on? I looked around with Google and I saw that I need to go to the "Options" menu, but I can't figure out how to do this as I can't run the "setup" app(s) at this time.
EDIT: Just did some more research. It seems there might not be a way to have cross-hairs in Dark Forces 1 in the base game(or Dark Forces+, which is mostly the same, as in my case) without some changes I don't know how to make. If this is so, can someone suggest a fix?
EDIT for Clarity: I am used to playing FPS games with cross-hairs. I'm a pretty much casual gamer, so playing Dark Forces+ with mouse look but no cross-hairs is frustrating for me because I'm having a hard time seeing where the shots I fire are going to hit. With Vanilla Dark Forces, this wasn't a problem because the mouse was bound to the X-Axis and I could easily intuit where I was shooting. I don't want to go back to Vanilla DF because it had so many odd little problems and felt plain weird, but I think Dark Forces+ would be a lot more enjoyable if I could use mouse look and cross-hairs.
