the textures are all wonky and in the wrong place.
theyre High Res, but the walls and such are flat colors, or incorrect textures.
Yes, I believe I'm experiencing this same issue (screenshot attached).

What is your graphic card? I have in this machine an Intel HD4000.

Why I do have 128 at min. texture size? Because I can.

OK, joke aside it really doesnt matter, what you have configured. It can be just 1.

Menues are very small. still playable so not that big of an issue but would like to fix if possible.
You mean the UI (like the health/energy circle)?
It is because DF2: JK was never made for suchg big resolutions in mind.

Fortunately, there are mods for this "problem", just have to find them, somewhere out there.

My game looks the pretty much the same like opeter2 without the enhanced item and npc/enemies model mod. So the textures look the same. The patch needed to use JK enhanced messes up my fmv so i don;t use it at the moment. Maybe that fixes it for you. The hud (what I also believe you mean by menu) can be changed with mods.

I'll show you a youtube link from someone who did a playthrough of JK with all kinds of mods: this is the movie where he says in the description which mods he uses. The enhanced mod is in there (but you can find that info in the forum here too and that might work better with the gog version or not. Both didn't work for me without messing the fmv's.) but also the hud mod and the texture mod and some more if you would want it. YOu can watch a video of his playthrough to see how it looks.

Wow that's weird. something must have gone wrong with a mod?

Check the youtube link. That texture mod works for me and you don't need the patch for it (if it breaks your fmv's like for me)

... we finally got some nice HUD/GUI remade mods:

JKHUD v4:
http://www.jkhub.net/project/show.php?projid=343

Download here:
http://jkhub.net/project/get.php?id=1206

* * *

And we also have a JKGUI.zip here, but did not test it, yet:
http://www.jkhub.net/project/show.php?projid=343&section=downloads

It says, you get rounded and 33% bigger items on HUD display.
The problems I saw was chaos. My screen would go completely crazy making it nearly impossible to see what was going on. This problem transferred to Windows when the game was shut down.

All of the problem I had with Jedi Knight disappeared when I added JK.dll from jkdf2.net/JKBot/JKArchive/JKDF2/Game%20Files/tools/PATCH/jkultimate15.zip.
Have you tried, or know much about the improved sound pack? It 'sounds' interesting, but I'd like to read a description and peoples opinions of it. LightningBoltForever only links the download, and I wasn't able to find a mod description with my simple searches.
Sorry, no. I use just the following 3 mods:
- Jedi Knight Enhanched
- JKR (Re)texture mod
- JKHUB

But you can try more mods together and see what it works for you or what is compatible with each other.
You cannot destroy your game. Just put the .gob files into the mod folder, start the game with the shortcut and try out, if the mods work for you.

If not, just delete any of the .gob files from the mod folder.

Does this mod make the game less crash happy when switching from the menu screen to in game play?

Do you have the gog version because my gog version doesn't crash at all?

Mine also doesn't crash at all. GOG version works just fine with activated mods.
Looks like step 1 can't be replaced by Wine3D :(
Surprisingly MotS loads a level with JKE active but it's pretty surreal :)

For MotS, there is another patch. Dont use JKE!!!

Use this:
Mysteries of the Sith Enhanced

http://www.jkhub.net/project/show.php?projid=570&section=downloads

However, there is in the works also another, similar mod, so we should look at it in the future:
http://www.jkhub.net/project/show.php?projid=692

The future is bright for the Jedi Knight.

Thank you! MotSE works great!
Guess I'll play good looking MotS and decent looking JK :)

You're welcome :)
I mean that switching from the menu screen to gameplay crashes the game quite a bit for me. I was asking if the mods may or may not have a hand in stabilizing it. My theory is that it has something to do with the lighting.

If I continuously play the game without switching into the menu, it never crashes. It's not a huge issue, but it is there. I do not currently have any mods installed.
