I've re-purchased this great game, I've installed it, launched it... and when I press and started the training mission... the planet surface had a bright solid green pantone color (while the background a bright solid yellow pantone)!

The sky above (ships flying around) is great, with textures, etc...

I have this system:

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4460 CPU @ 3.20GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.2GHz

Windows Dir: C:\Windows

The current AMD drivers corrupted the graphics for this game. Your only options are to downgrade drivers or bitch to AMD like all the other BF2 players to fix it.
There is no way AMD to listen users and fix a problem; so, I should downgrade... Hmmm...
Or... replace the AMD with a GeForce one????

Well I would check if you have the very latest drivers. I am running a Nvidia card and a few months ago I decided to replay the original F.E.A.R. I had added a lighting mod in and spent hours trying to work out what the heck was happening because everything was flickering and shadows were completely messed up.

It turned out Nvidia managed to break some of their legacy code when updating for one of the new titles out. Anyway they released a newer driver and the problem magically went away.

Sadly both Nvidia and AMD are capable of screwing up new drivers for old games.

If you can get hold of them it is probably worth trying older drivers or waiting for a newer driver to be released.

I don't recall seeing anything in the official release note for the drivers that fixed my problem so even if you don't see anything specially mentioning your problem I would still give it a go.

PLEASE report to AMD
I did... I am hoping they fix it, but they only will if enough people bitch them.
the problem started when they introduced the crimson edition of their drivers.

I've found on Youtube a workaround to fix this issue.

Just download the file "15.7.zip" from this link and copy the two .dll into the "GameData" folder

Just wanted confirm that this is a problem with the newer AMD Crimson drivers. It's been reported multiple times on every board imaginable, and I'd imagine AMD knows about it.

I went back to the last Catalyst version, and have less problems all around. I have a x64 Windows 7 partition just for gaming (in case that makes a difference to someone).

I know Crimson is great with the newest games, but a lot of the older games now have lots of weird glitches popping up. I have some corruption with Far Cry 2 at certain times in certain areas. I'm sure BF2 and FC2 aren't the only ones.

I haven't tried Zero's fix, but someone should post a screenie if they do.

I'm not surprised this is happening. Nothing new ever works out of the box, usually, and it seems these drivers are geared more towards the newer generation of games.

That worked for me, too - thank you!
I just tried the solution Zeros posted, on the Steam version, and can confirm it fixes the same issue on there too.

Yeah it seems this solves the problem with the graphixs for me as well
I've had no luck fixing the issue, I've tried all the .dlls in that link and I still get the same bug of having no textures. Does anyone know of any other fix?
Shaarhy,
Download this archive - http://swsaga.ru/files/crimson.zip Extract all files into '{PathToGame}\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData' folder. Then run 'crimson.bat' with administrative privileges. After that, you can play the game. Note, you need to run 'crimson.bat' after every video driver updating.
