Hey there!

I just bought and downloaded the new version with crossplay. When I start the game and click on 'Multiplayer' the game logs me in an says "Busy..." before freezing completely. I tried it three times now with the exact same result.

Anyone else is facing this issue?
Yep same problem with me also. I tried a couple times using compatibility mode and everytime I tried to use multiplayer with the result of my game crashing and have to use keyboard shortcuts to restart the PC.
Same issue here, game just locks up completely. I am able to close the game with task manager though. I see quite a few people playing on Steam, so maybe this is just a problem with the GOG version?
Yup, exactly the same problem here. The game crashes as soon as I click on the 'Multiplayer' tab. Singleplayer and everything else works fine.

EDIT: I found a solution. I have no idea if this'll work for anyone else, but I closed Galaxy and lauched the game via a desktop shortcut. NOW I can get into multiplayer without crashing.

OK so multiple people are having the same problem on Steam. Apparently its just the servers are terrible right now, going up and down constantly. I got into one game and the lag in combat was terrible to.

I guessing most of the issues will resolve once the servers even out.

Sadly this didn't work for me. I guess I'll wait a few days and see if they fix the server and connection issues that WelshDevil mentioned. I'm really looking forward to compare this Battlefront II with the new one coming out soon.
I'm getting an unknown error when I select "Galaxy", what is that about?
I had this exact same issue, hope it gets noticed and fixed eventually.

Hey guys,

We are investigating the issue, it is most likely related to the matchmaking servers being hit with much bigger traffic than anticipated. We will try to resolve this as soon as possible.

On another notice, as it seems you guys have access to the source code; Would it be possible to to increase the size of menus and interfaces on higher resolutions. I just tried playing the game on 2560x1440p, and while sharp, all text and info is just so tiny.. You are almost required to play on a lower res (1080p for example) in order to make it readable.

It is one of those old games quirks but still, maybe its easily to fix :)

Edit: Besides that, there is a weird graphical glitch visible in the left side of the screen/HUD on resolutions higher than 1080p. (at least on 1440p). Its like an opaque overlay or square is active.

Same problem, I go to sleep and see if it will work tomorrow

EDIT:
Ok, I am no longer getting BUSY and having game freezing. The game will find servers but if I try to join any of them I get "Joining session..." then I wait 60 seconds and get kicked back to the menu.

That's true, even 1080p tooltips are pretty hard to read if you ask me. You should start a new thread for that topic maybe, so nobody gets confused.

Thank you for the response, @Paczyk! I'm no expert in programming or anything, but why does the game freeze instead of showing a "could not connect" error message? I mean, that would be a much more comfortable solution, don't you think? Anyways, I hope you'll solve the problem in the next days. It seems like there are many people waiting to get into the action! ;)

Yep I had the same problem yesterday. Tried it again today very early in the morning and the multiplayer works now for me! So it really seems like an overload when refreshing the server list.

I'm now able to see the server list but joining a server does not seem to work. The "Connection to Host Lost" thread adresses my current problem.
