Can get passed the intro scenes and even into the campains. but starting a skirmish/campain mission or even trying to look at the ship setting causes a CTD and this. am trying to run on win 7 if that helps.

yeah ive tried that already.
Set all graphical settings to lowest and disable the on/off ones, that solved it for me. You can then turn them all on/full once you are in the game. So far I only had this problem during the 4th or 5th Klingon mission (Winds of Change).

For me this happened because of a bad model for one of the possible planets in that mission (it's called PlanetCrater in the model folder).
Thanks for the help, i'd fixed the problem anyway by deleting one of the .dll's. im on win 7 it was causing the issue.

just couldnt work out how to close the thread.

Hiya friend!

I've just encountered a similar problem running this on Win7Pro, and wondering which .dll you deleted and where I can find it?

The exception starts off the same as yours but a bunch of the details differ later in the log.

I'm not very savvy, so small words would be best :P

I know this was 4 days old but i fixed my crash to desktop while running the game with GOG Galaxy by right clicking on starfleet command 3 and installing the update that didn't install automatically when i downloaded the game.

The crash was fixed with the update but you do have to install the update separately it seems.

If not using Galaxy, look in your library under the game and there should be a 4mb patch which should help.
