Thanks for your tests, they're much appreciated!

Mixing the floppy and the CD intros was probably not intended by the developers, but it seems like the game engine supports it nonetheless. I created an updated patch, but the forum software won't let me post URLs right now. :-|

Take the link from my last post and replace the date code at the end: stjr_alternative_intro_20190409.rar --> stjr_alternative_intro_20190523.rar

Only title.dem has been modified.
My hat is off to you sir, well done! It works no issue for me here. Do you know if there were any other elements like the movie and sound pack intro scene that missed the cdrom version? I dont think there are personally but Im not certain.
Thanks, glad to hear! :-)

I'm not sure about that either. Unpacking and comapring both game versions results in hundreds of different files, though most of those are probably due to the upgraded animations of the CD ROM version.

There are some changes to the "No Man's Land" mission, though. Specifically, two animations don't seem to be in use in the CD ROM version:

- trip.dem / trip.mve: A rather cheesy looking animation showing Trelane's plane attacking the Enterprise.
- nend.dem / nend.mve: An animation showing the Enterprise leaving orbit together with a second ship.

I don't remember those from playing the CD ROM version, but I'm not sure whether they are actually triggered in the floppy version.
I just wanted to thank you for doing this! I've downloaded your files and will test it myselft asap. Thank you!
I've finally tested your files and both the intro and transporter sound effects are working fine. Anything you could do about the missing bridge sounds?

Thanks for your feedback.

Adding the looping bridge sound doesn't seem that easy. The 25th Anniversary game has a reference to bridloop.voc hardcoded into the executable, which seems to be missing from Judgment Rites. (It might well be possible to add the background loop, mind you, but I don't see an obvious way right now.)

Interesting. Maybe the ScummVM coder, who imlemented most of 25th anniversary last year has an idea:

Maybe. You could ask them. ;-)
Hello, this is my first time on here and just got the CD-ROM version from GOG. I do have the Movie and Sound Pack, but which files and/or the folders are ones that I need to replace or override the missing transporter beaming sound? I am playing on an MT-32.

Much appreciated if anyone can help.

Thanks!
I had no idea this thread had been updated and completely missed the posts by DenizOezmen. Unfortunately, the links to those patches no longer seem to work. Is there anywhere else where they can still be downloaded?

Edit: Never mind. I was able to get the links to work through a download manager. Thanks!

Hi there, I don't know if this was answered in the forums or not, but was wondering if someone had a patch of a 100% playthrough that could lend. I tried to ask Deniz Oezmen, but never heard back from him and am in a bind. Can someone please help me? It would mean a great deal.

Thanks and happy gaming!
