Hello,

I found that when I was playing the level where you took control of the turret on the Enterprise's hull, to disable an enemy ship, I noticed that I was unable to make the turret move up or down with the mouse. This made the level near impossible to complete.

After some investigation, I discovered that a workaround to the problem was to turn " use weapon aim" on in the game options. This allowed me to control the turret with full mouse movement, albiet with a different aiming method applied, to which I was able to complete the level.

Hope this helps out anyone who comes across a similiar problem when playing the level.
The up and down issue can happen, if the game was out of focus or came into focus to late or some combination.
I think it is a mouse grabbing issue the game or windows has under special circumstances.

Type into the game console:
in_mouse -1
Save the game again, close the game completely, then load this new save game might resolve that issue.

Maybe using this command in the console will also resolve it, I never had the opportunity to test:
in_restart

Maybe if you still have that savegame I can look into it if it is a issue that is retained in the savegame.

Good catch, by the way.
I just loaded up my autosave to the turret section on the Enterprise and tried the following:

- Loaded autosave

- Opened the console and typed "in_mouse -1"

- Created a new manual save of the game

- Quit the game to the Windows desktop and then loaded it up again

- Loaded the manual save of the turret section on the Enterprise

- Still unable to move the turret up or down :(

I did type in "in_mouse", after I loaded my manual save, and it reported that the value was set to "-1".
Are you able to upload the savegame and share it ?

EF2\base\save\Username

Should be a folder and a ssv file, put them into a zip file together and have them uploaded, example:

SaveGame1632680082.ssv
/SaveGame1632680082/

Sort files by date to see which is the latest.

Hello there,

I've zipped up my save files uploaded them; hopefully that's everything you need.

Let me know if you need anything more from me; I appreciate the time you're taking to get to the bottom of this issue :)

Edit: Hm, the ZIP file is not appearing on the post as an attached file. I've uploaded it to my personal OneDrive here: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AlHkVhmiLPaOh5YtGZuZPsF_pellcw?e=0dgaGt

Okay, so the issue is also transferable with the save file.

The only way I could resolve it was by loading the map manually.
This will make you louse the collected secret weapons and girlfriend choices.
The game will still work and your Golden Starship count will be unchanged.

map m6-exterior

Enter the above Command into the game Console.

Okay, I have found a better way.
Load the save from the mission start, then type into the console:

gamemap m6-exterior

This will restart the map but retain weapons/inventory.
If you use that command while you already in Part 2 of this mission you will retain a weapon you are not suppose to have.

I used the "gamemap m6-exterior" command after loading the mission from the start and I can confirm that I got full movement of the turret when I reached that section of the level.

I did accidentally run the command when I was already at the turret section and it was funny running around with a turret in my inventory; but I wasn't able to progress the level as I couldn't whip out the tricorder to stop the hacking.

Thanks for your help!

Hi. I am not sure if I should open a new thread or post here, but I am having the same issue with "Mission 6: Remove and Disable <Enterprise Hull>" outlined in this thread, although the work arounds (eg. in_mouse -1, and map m6-exterior) have not worked in my case. Does anyone know if there is a 'skip level' admin function, as I at least want to continue with the game while the bug is looked at.
To load the next map type into the console:
gamemap m7l1a-attrexian_colony

You can paste copied text into the console by pressing the middle mouse button

They added a fix so it limits the fps to 80 on m6-exterior.
How ever if com_maxfps is at 0 which means unlimited their fix isn't doing anything^^

So if a player changes stuff as suggested on various sites they can still run into that bug and blame gog for not fixing it.

If they fix that and also check for com_maxfps == 0 and set that to 75 (which is the best) that bug would be finally fixed for everyone.
