Hello guys,
I´m currently playing Call of Pripyat, GOG version + Complete mod, and I´ve found a number of places where it should be possible to get by crouching but it is not. It´s like the character is a little to big to fit in the space. Most of those places are in accesses to hidden caches and such so they can be easily ignored but <spoiler warning> one of those is in the Jupiter Factory, in the location where you´d find the Yanov fine tools. I, of course, wanted to get the tools. Is there some workaround?
Thanks in advance

I haven't played Call of Pripyat yet but Shadow of Chernobyl has two different levels of crouching. To fully crouch you have to press Ctrl + Shift there. Don't know if it's still the same in CoP or whether you've tried already it but maybe that's the thing you're missing?
F4LLOUT is correct as the low crouch is also available in CoP. However I think for the fine tools you're talking about it wasn't a case of crouching to reach them - though there are some points where its required.
I remember there are several stashes in CoP that are REALLY hard to actually pick up. You have to be in just the right spot, which isn't even necessarily the most logical spot. Maybe this is one of those cases?

You haven't played CoP yet???

O_O

IZ TEH BESTEST!!!

At least in terms of polish and refinement, and overall "completeness." There are a few too many health packs and the economy can be exploited, though, so a lot of fans consider it to be too easy.

I think it's a very worthy counterpart to SoC, with a long list of strengths. It's a different sort of STALKER game, but still a very good one.

Yeah, I actually haven't ever completely beaten SoC yet. I think I approached the game four times in the past and eventually stopped for one reason or another, currently I'm about to beat the whole thing for the first time.

And oddly enough I'm far more attracted to and curious about Clear Sky than Call of Pripyat. Call me crazy but quirky games attract me. :B

I think SoC is far quirkier than Clear Sky, which suffers from being "neither hot nor cold." It doesn't have the raw weirdness of SoC, but neither is it as complete as CoP. It doesn't really have the advantages of either.

It's still a great game, though, because it's still STALKER :)

And the thing about CoP is that it's still quirky, just a better realized sort of quirky. But I completely understand where you're coming from. I tend to gravitate toward games that are weird and flawed far more than I gravitate toward really slick polished games.
Thank you F4LL0UT, that was the answer. Just to clarify for other people who might have this problem in the future, there´re indeed two crouch levels. In order to further crouch you need to press the crouch button and the walk button.
