So I just bought Call of Pripyat for the first time and the first thing that happens when I try to play it? nothing, the screen goes black and nothing appears.
I have messed around with my resolution settings trying to get the right size but that didn't work.
Is this even a resolution problem and can anyone help?
Are you only trying to change in-game? You could always open user.ltx and change resolution manually. If you are not used to do such things then just copy the file as it is now for back up in case you screw something up.

I can't access the resolution in game and I've tried looking for that folder before but I can't find it, I just assumed that it was a GoG thing
It's possible it hasn't been created because you haven't managed to start the game correctly.

What OS are you running? It's also possible the game is trying to run a refresh rate (60Hz should be default) that your monitor doesn't support.

Never mind I managed to find the user.ltx file, it was in another folder completely separate from the one I was fiddling with.
I'm running Win 7
It's now working perfectly fine, thank you
