They probably touched and modified pretty much every single file of the code base, meaning it diffs with the old files we had. So we had to download the game completely over to override the files

Unbelievable!
I spent 12 hours downloading 1.2 and installed it yesterday.
Today I find there is no patch to go from 1.2 to 1.2.1.
I think I'm done playing Stalker 2 for a few months and I'll wait and see what's going on then.
Edit: After looking at the change log it seems like 1.2 was not tested very well. Which lowers my confidence for future updates.
Edit2: Wait! Is the patch 1.2 to 1.0.998 really 1.2 to 1.2.1? How stupid!

Another patch. Another 100+ GB download.
To add insult to injury, there was a .temp folder almost 200GB hidden away in the game files.
It's is wild.
Just trying to keep this game updated is probably shaving years off the SSD lifespan! >_<
Putting the game on hold for now. Was enjoying it, but I'll have wait until it's finished.
