I'd like to bring to your attention that the price of 20.49 Euros for this DLC seems to be incorrect. Please, kindly correct it.

Hi Moki,

If you own the main game, i.e. Spirit of the Island then your price will be just 2,99 (normal). If you don't own the main game then your price will be main + DLC.

Thank you for your reply!

Does this mean that this DLC also includes the main game? If so, you should update the store page description to clarify this. If the DLC doesn't include the main game, consider setting the price to 2.99 Euros, as GOG only allows owners of the game to purchase its DLC.

It's worth noting that you can gift a DLC to someone who already owns the game. With this in mind, it wouldn't make sense to keep the store price for this DLC at 20 Euros, instead of setting it to its original value of 2.99 Euros.

We will do our best to fix this issue. The thing is that if you own the game then you get 85% off for the 20EUR price level, meaning that you buy the DLC only for the DLC-only price. But if you don't own it then you purchase for the full price that is equal to full game + DLC

Thanks for getting back to me and for trying to sort it out!

I understand, but once again, this doesn't address the real question and problem. :-)

Does this 20EUR DLC include access to the full game? From your response, it seems that it doesn't.

My core concern is that we can't purchase the DLC without also owning the main game, 20EUR or otherwise.

So, even if the DLC alone costs 20EUR without an 85% discount, assuming someone purchases the DLC and ONLY the DLC for 20EUR, that person will still have to buy the FULL GAME for an additional +20EUR, and THAT is technically impossible on GOG. THIS is also why the 20EUR price tag for a single DLC is problematic, and that is why I suggested setting the DLC price to 2.99EUR.

No, if you pay 20 EUR you get the main game and the DLC as well. If you own the game you will pay 3 EUR only. So, the game + a DLC costs 20 EUR.

Thank you very much! That's exactly what I wanted to know. May I suggest that you also add this information to the store page? :-)

You know that makes absolutely no sense, right? The store page is totally wrong as pointed out by Mori Yuki. The reason is that Adventureland is standalone...not a DLC. Never was a DLC here. It seems to be just the main .exe again minus the beach resort content. I don't know if that was what was intended. but, these are two distinct games in the GOG database. GOG will allow you to purchase Adventureland as a standalone title, and it does not give you the original SOTI. If it were a DLC it should have been listed under the DLC section of the offline installers for the original SOTI. To evidence this fact. I installed Adventureland by itself. plays fine....minus beach resort content. Why didn't you just add this content to the base instead of repacking it? As it stands, great game...poor/nonstandard technical presentation though. So with this release...one has to play the "base" game with beach resort to get the most from it, then we need to start a completely different .exe to port saves to get the new content. Very shoddy. This is clearly FUBAR from typical GOG standards. I certainly don't appreciate it.

Problem is things looks quite more expensive than it actually is UNTIL CHECK OUT or ADD TO CART..

To start. This is how things was for me.
I had purchased the base game and added the Beach Resort DLC to my account.
And downloaded these a few days ago.

Now on the store page the following was shown for me:
A price of 150 kr - 20% = 120 kr for "Spirit of the Island - Adventureland"
This was more than I was ready to pay.
But after reading this thread here.
Then I was thinking what the hell. lets see what happen if I try to start going on...

Now I went on and added it to my cart and went all the way to check out.
Now the price had changed to 150 kr - 85% = .22 kr or something close to that.
With this shown I did finis the purchase.

so the REAL price is not shown before adding to cart or perhaps even before at check out.

So in the end the price is the right one (or at least was for me) :)
