Great videos, mate! Looking forward to SQ6!

(hope you do the PQ and Larry games for folks too)

A lot of this is simple stuff for some of us, but for others its the difference between a fantastic and terrible game experience with this awesome classics! :)

I've posted a few questions on your videos, if you're still about and checking them, but one I'll ask here:

Any reason to use "machine=tandy" for AGI games that support 3-voice sound rather than using "tandy=on" and adding a "-t" to the command that starts the game? (that way you get Tandy sound but not Tandy graphics)?
thanks for the guides phil!
Hey Phil, I Try to use Space Quest 3 with a real MT-32 which i purchased secondhand, (Using a Midi to USB cable)
But I somehow don't seem to get Space quest 3 working propperly with it ,
Other Games Like Hocus Pocus and Day of the Tentacle seem to be sounding fine.
The sounds on my MT-32 are completely off at SQ3.
Do you have any ideas what this can be or any settings I can do to totally factory reset my MT-32 to prepare it for using with games?

Slight sight notice: I did set SQ3 on MT32 but it doesn't either show the text "Space Quest III" or "Insert Buckazoid".
Please explain what steps you've taken to try to get it to work with your MT-32. Then we can figure out what else you need to do. Also, are you using DosBox or ScummVM to run your game (which one are you using)?

My immediate guess is that you didn't run the SQ3 installer & choose the MT-32 as your musical device. Or you'll have to edit the Resource.cfg file and make sure it's using the MT32.DRV for your sound driver

I'm using DosBox and tried several settings for the midi side.
Also put Audio in config on MT32.drv but no effect i'm affraid. Music sounds terrible.
Did you launch DosBox and type in "mixer /listmidi" to see where your MT32 is assigned? Then assign it to midiconfig= in the dosbox conf file?

also done that, the midiconfig is configured to the correct USB To MIDI Adapter.
very odd. Your description of the problem sounds like it's trying to play it through general midi or maybe the soundblaster. If you're sure that the resource config is set to your MT32 and that the MIDICONFIG is set to your usb to midi adaptor, then I don't know what to tell you. It should work. The only other thing I'd suggest trying, is to run it through ScummVM. Launch the ScummVM GUI, add SQ3 & point it to the folder the game files are stored in. Then just edit the Audio & MT32 options in the GUI. If that doesn't work, I ran out of ideas

Then I'm gonna try that :) Thnx for thinking with me.
So got the collection and was go do this tweaks but there for dosbox? which guess gog now uses scummvm how do i change all this for that?

*edit*
I fiqure how to confiqure it via scummvm and by defualt it using the good sound and not pc speaker sound. my question is how to send that confiquration to the shortcut for the game? so it launchs with the tweaks
