I am a total newb but I can't seem to save my game? As soon as I click on the GOG SQ1 it fires up dosbox and the game so I have no chance to mount a c drive. Can someone help? I am sure this must be a simple.
All you should have to do is hit F5 to save. For the save path, just use \

I've tried that, but it doesn't work : it keeps saying there's no such directory. Do you have a Plan B?

==> Nevermind, I've found what I was doing wrong.

alright gray matter and anyone else needing a further explanation: hit f5 to save then just type in \ to save your files to. If you still get the error try C:\ and then it should work.
I still cannot save a game. I've hit F5 and gotten the screen to save the game. I then tried typing in C:\gog games (that doesn't work). I tried \gog games. I'm a newbie so I don't really know what else to try to fix this.
Just type \ then Enter
The path you enter there is not really the path on your hard drive, but in the virtual DOSBox C drive. Which is the game directory.
So using \ or if that doesn't work C:\ wil save in the game directory, not directly in the root directory or something like that.
Just try it out.
