I have been using the keyboard and mouse to play SOMA (v1.109 (13073)), but every once in a while during gameplay I lose control of the mouse and it swirls up and to the left. I can temporarily force the view back down with the mouse and continue playing, yet the upward/circling movement is constant, so it's a bit of a struggle.

My understanding is that this is (or was) a well known bug in the Unreal Engine when using a mouse while a gamepad/controller is plugged in, and the recommendation for fixing this is to change a line in the UDK engine's .ini file which disables the controller input. However, I believe Frictional Games uses an in-house engine (HPL3?).

Unplugging the controller should theoretically solve this issue, and since doing so I haven't encountered the bug. That said, I am wondering if anyone happens to have a better solution. It's not too much trouble to unplug the controller each time I play SOMA, though if I could instead add a line to the "Default_user_settings.cfg" or utilize a simple fix, that would be preferable.

Incidentally, the controller (Xbox 360) works fine and there don't seem to be any problems when I use the controller alone. I just find it easier to use the mouse/keyboard with SOMA.

Thank you for any help or information you might be able to offer. I'm assuming I am not the only person who has encountered this issue, so I'm certain others would be appreciative as well.
