Step 4(editor): After doing that if you want to use the editor, do the same as steps but download the editor again

The main thing is running it in Vista compat mode SP2 or Windows 98, try them, adminstrator shouldnt matter. Also edding the start_editor.bat to point to your game is important, and try extracting your game.pak with 7zip or and move it to your games /resource folder, thats where the editor can find the maps.
