So where is the new patch? Steam has had it for over a wekk....I thought the new one for GOG was due out yesterday?

That's what they said over on Steam. It seems like they've been putting out a bunch of patches since release. Maybe they're holding it for one big patch on GOG? Kinda annoying we still don't have it yet.
I'm hoping we get it soon, apparently it's a massive overhaul. They haven't answered any of my direct queries on KS, but I'm used to DRM-free backers getting the second-class treatment.
I also
sent a message to them on Facebook so let's see what happens.

Ha, and I posted a comment a Steam, so I guess we are covered :)
The devs responded to my question on Steam. Here is what they said:

"The GOG version is being worked on right now as well as the Linux version. I'll make an announcement about it when it's closer to being completed. Sorry we weren't able to get it out on the 7th as we originally said! "

"We're working on it! Sorry it wasn't ready by the time we thought it would be but we'll have it ready as soon as we can."

The post I got in the thread I made about it. Why do I have the feeling we're going to be waiting a long time for this to finally get here?
Yes indeed. I pay full price for my passage, but always end up traveling second class.
Considering all of the changes, I am sure it will be worth the wait. I have plenty of games in my ever-growing backlog to keep me occupied until they've worked out all the kinks and patched the GOG version.
I'm kinda late to the party on Slain!, but I like it. Fun combat. Decent platforming. Old School (SNES/Genesis/NES) challenge. Awesome visual aesthetic. Even with the graphics turned down to LOW, it looks fantastic. My only gripes are that the combat can get a bit repetitive and a few enemy types are cheap. I don't understand all the hate this game gets.

NOTE:
I'm playing the Linux version (Mint 17.3 64 bit).
I'm using a gamepad (Logitech F310, set to XInput).
My graphics processor is a modest Nvidia NVS 3100M (600MHz)
I bought Slain! after the patch.

I'm not sure what patch is being referenced here, but the version I bought today (08-11-2016) plays great.

The patch that brings the game up to 2.0 (actually, more like 2.2 now since it got another pair of patches), which adds new enemies, new levels, gameplay fixes, etc. It's a large leap from where it is now (1.25 on GOG).

I'll be on the lookout for it.
And still nothing. Any wonder I don't back games on KS anymore?
Most recent news on the Steam forums is from Saturday, 8/13. At the end of the announcement, they state that the GOG update is "coming soon". This update also marks the official launch of the updated version of the game for both Mac and Linux users. Perhaps they wanted to get the game working on all platforms before submitting the patch data to GOG? Just a thought.
