Will the new Minor Factions DLC be coming to gog any time soon? Looks like it adds a new challenge to the game.
I hope they will but gog is always a day or so behind.

Is there any confirmation about a GOG release?
I too am curious about this, it's been a few days now.
I dont wanna buy it on Steam...
That would suck if it is steam only. Sounds about right too. I guess people could care less if they actually own the game, or just rent the rights to play it.
I think it is likely that this is just a typical GOG-related delay. The DLC requires the latest Sins version (v1.93 released Dec 14th) to use it. That means there's not much point in selling the DLC here until GOG offers that version for download to people who bought Rebellion here. Steam users who have v1.93 through Steam could use the DLC, but if they bought the base game through Steam, they would probably buy the DLC there too.

As of now, I only see v1.921 offered on the GOG game library page. GOG is not known for speedy patch delivery, and that's probably especially bad during major holidays. I expect that this DLC will become available here at some point, but almost certainly not before GOG makes Sins v1.93 available.

As GOG has clarified earlier this year, it's mostly up to the developers and publishers to roll out updates for GOG versions of their games. They could have simply used GOG's developer portal in order to access a build delivery system that is similar to Steam's own content distribution system.
Unfortunately, we don't know what's holding Stardock back from releasing the update and the DLC on GOG.

According to that post, portal users can push direct to Galaxy. It's not clear from that thread whether that push also pushes to the game library accessed via the website. I looked at the latter to make my statement that the patch is not yet available.
I'm also awaiting this DLC here for the GOG version of Sins. It's nice for the game to continue to receive support, but would be nice to get it here, too.
If Ironclad Games and Stardock aren't going to support customers across all platforms they sell on please do not support them by purchasing the Major Factions DLC; and that includes abstaining from buying on Steam just because they don't care about all customers. Poor Business practices do not merit continued finical contributions.
I guess they forgot about the players on gog.

One cannot even use the multiplayer at the moment, because the version is outdated... :(
Multiplayer works fine for me with the latest GOG version. What exactly did you do that does not work?

When I click on "internet multiplayer", I get the message: "Old version of Sins detected. Ensure you have the latest update."

I have not tried LAN, because I have noone to play against in my LAN (and I don't want to reinstall some sort of pseudo-lan-software again).
